After moving to Pittsburgh from Duesseldorf, I knew I would want to continue in the fashion industry having been the German sales manager for a French designer for over 10 years. I settled on the idea of shoes, specializing with exclusive European labels focusing on quality, style and client service. I knew I wanted to present the collections in a relaxed, modern environment where the shoes and clients are central. Initially, only men's collections would going to be featured, however, my partner and I quickly knew what a mistake this would be. A shoe store without women's shoes? Unbelievable, inconceivable, crazy!
The decision to locate in Shadyside was easy. At 5533 Walnut Street, we are in the epicenter of Pittsburgh's premier shopping district where unique, fashionable experiences are discovered. Our name, Bondstreet Shoes, is reminiscent of a time living in London where its Bond Street is home to flagship designer shops.
We are proud to be the first to offer the LLOYD Germany Collection in the USA. LLOYD has an international reputation for its high quality standards with sophisticated and contemporary designs for men and women, made in Germany. LLOYD is one of the best admired and selling shoe labels in Europe and has maintained this reputation for over 120 years.
